MOJO mission:
Dare to be different in making a difference in early childhood education
MOJO Education focuses specifically on the design and production of resources for children that depict real images of people from around the world. We consult with cultural groups, community leaders, teachers and other education professionals to design relevant, multi-cultural education resources that help inspire a deeper appreciation for diversity in early childhood classrooms.
MOJO Education was founded in 2006. Since our first product design, we have been committed to authenticity and the realistic representation of world cultures. Why does "real" matter? Because children’s families, communities, and classrooms are filled with real people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
MOJO Education’s products support state and national recommendations for diversity in early childhood education. In 2007 MOJO Education received the Scholastic Teacher's Choice Award for its Children Around the World Faces Puzzle, which continues to be a top seller today.
The MOJO team has traveled across the country, presenting at state and national early childhood education conferences to promote the importance of integrating diversity in early childhood education efforts. In addition to educational resources, MOJO Education also offers Professional Development training and consulting services for early childhood programs including Early Head Start, Head Start, First Steps, Smart Start, and private early childhood programs.
MOJO Education has been a certified HUB (Historically Underutilized Business), MBE (Minority-Owned Business), and WBE (Women Business Enterprise) since 2011.
